Soil type: Silt loam

Silty loam soil is more porous than clay but less porous than sand. It drains well, is nutrient-rich, and supports most plants with ease. Because it’s quick-draining, compost and frequent waterings may be necessary to maintain plant health. Most plants can thrive in this hospitable soil.
